i think gmod maps are a severely underappreciated art form. i feel like there aren’t very many mediums that allow you to create an entire world so effectively and freely for one to immerse themselves in. it just allows you to make Places and experience Places other people made in such a tangible way that not many other mediums do without requiring a lot of money and/or technical skill. like there’s so many maps on the workshop that aren’t meant to serve any kind of purpose to the player other than “hey check out this place i made” and i think that that’s so beautiful

try using hammer, and then youll really understand how miraculous it is that anyone still makes gmod maps
